At The Persuasion Edge, LLC, we specialize in body language, behavioral profiling, influence, and negotiation—helping people master the unspoken signals that shape trust, decisions, and outcomes.

Our work blends behavioral science with real-world application. Through coaching in nonverbal communication, facial expression analysis, microexpressions, and influence-based communication, we teach clients how to read others accurately, project confidence, and guide conversations with precision and intent.

The Persuasion Edge was founded by Mike McAleer, a communication and influence specialist with over 20 years of professional experience in sales and negotiation, supported by advanced training in behavioral analysis, nonverbal behavior, microexpressions, and negotiation. His background includes:

  • Over 20 years in the industry

  • Negotiation Mastery – Harvard Business School Online

  • Behavioral Observer (NCI-1) – Neuro-Cognitive Intelligence Level One, Applied Behavior Research

  • Behavioral Profiler (NCI-2) – Neuro-Cognitive Intelligence Level Two, Applied Behavior Research

  • Body Language Expert Program Graduate – Joe Navarro Body Language Academy

  • Certified Microexpressions Training – Paul Ekman Group (Micro, Subtle, Profile, and Intensive Training Tools)

  • Working knowledge of the Facial Action Coding System (FACS)

  • Additional advanced body language and nonverbal training through Body Language Tactics

  • Extensive study of applied negotiation and tactical communication methods developed by Chris Voss, former FBI lead international kidnapping negotiator

Mike’s methodology bridges behavioral science with practical, real-world use—whether in leadership, sales, negotiation, or high-stakes interpersonal communication. The focus is not manipulation, but clarity, emotional accuracy, and ethical influence.

Beyond his professional work, Mike’s proudest accomplishments are his wife and three children, and recently summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania—a personal journey reflecting the same principles he teaches: preparation, resilience, discipline, and mindset under pressure..
